An Evening of Inspiration and Honor -

On Wednesday, April 24th, The National Technical Honor Society, guided by their Advisor, Heather Cooper, inducted a fresh group of high achievers to this esteemed club.

Current members hosted a simple yet inspiring and respectful candle-lighting ceremony in which the vision, mission, and pillars of the society strives to follow were credited. New candidates were charged with maintaining their current academic and citizenship standards while also encouraged to advocate for their own and their fellow students’ career and educational advancement.

After new members made their official pledge, they were honored with their NTHS certificate, a flower and handshake from one of the current members. Mr. Jeff Podolak, CTE Principal, gave closing remarks in which he compared the character of the NTHS members to the unsung heroes of our country who go above and beyond the status quo simply because it is the right thing to do.

Concluding the inspiring ceremony, students, families, teachers and administrators from cooperating school districts enjoyed the accompaniment of guitarists, Robert and Dylan Kasterchino, delicious cookies and chocolate covered strawberries provided by the CTE Culinary Arts and Food Services Classes.
