Career & Tech Students Inducted into National Technical Honor Society

On Tuesday, October 7 at 6:30 PM, TST BOCES Career & Tech Center held the inaugural induction of the TST Chapter of the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS), America’s highest award for career & technical education by inducting 8 students from area high schools with an inspiring ceremony. Led by principal, Mr. Perry Dewey, faculty and staff members explained the significance of the NTHS emblem and held a candle lighting ceremony. Dr. Ellen O’Donnell, the TST BOCES District Superintendent, gave closing remarks.

Hillary Enslow, Dryden

Sophie Perez, Ithaca

Michael Rankin, Groton

Samantha Stevenson, Trumansburg

Nicholas Stillwell, Trumansburg

 

The NTHS is the acknowledged leader in the recognition of outstanding student achievement in career and technical education. Thousands of schools and colleges throughout the US have a chapter of the honor society on their campus, now including TST BOCES Career & Tech Center. Member schools agree that NTHS encourage higher scholastic achievement, cultivates a desire for personal excellence and helps top students find success in today’s competitive workplace. The NTHS awards an increasing number of scholarships each year to its members.
